Augusta Businesses Prepare For Masters Guests
This time next week, thousands of visitors will be in Augusta and they'll spend thousands of dollars in the city. For Augusta businesses, it doesn't get any bigger than this...The Week of the Masters Tournament. Aside from the holidays, this is the business boom that carries many shops through the year. Along Washington Road, the marquees tell it all.The crew at Somewhere In Augusta is gearing up for the crowd. They even open up special seating outside of the building, doubling their business. They have a large outdoor tent, and special seating out front. The loyal hometown crowd may thin out a little bit for the next week, but managers expect plenty of new faces to come in and enjoy Augusta's night life.....and spend some money too!

Raptors Kick Off their 2007 Season This Weekend
ROCKFORD, Ill. - The Rock River Raptors of the United Indoor Football (UIF) league will be getting their season underway on Saturday when they take on the two-time defending league champion, Sioux Falls Storm at 7:05 p.m. inside the Metro Centre. The festivities start at 4 p.m. with the Raptor Park Tailgate Festival, Rockford's first outdoor festival of 2007. Raptor Park will be located at Davis Park, a half-block from the Metro Centre (300 Elm St., Rockford, Ill. 61101) and will feature food and beverages on sale, a 104.9 live remote with Captain Jack and a live performance by Shuvlhed.
