The 30th Zwitserleven Round Texel Race in the Netherlands shows several innovations. First, the recreational sailors will have their own classification, the so called silver fleet. That means they don’t need a measurement form and they pay a lower entry fee, which makes participation in world’s biggest cat race more economical. The party tent is the second change, as the new licensee and caterer will restore the original social atmosphere. As of March 6th, all participants can register for the Zwitserleven Round Texel Race 2007, that will start on June 23rd. Despite the two classes, the whole fleet starts together, so the sensation of hundreds of colourful catamarans on one line remains the same. The top three performances in the silver fleet will be awarded with encouragement prizes.

The difference in the organization and management of the Mississippi Democratic and Republican parties is stark. So are the results. The Democratic Party is run by an unwieldy 100-member executive committee. Management of the modern Republican Party can be summed up in two words: Haley Barbour. Barbour, who led the national party through unprecedented expansion and success, has brought his party-management skills to the state level. The state Republican Party has embraced the "Big Tent" theory of party building - perfected in Washington by Barbour in the 1990s. It's working. Roughly 30,000 more Mississippians vote in Republican statewide primaries every four years. The Democratic Party, even as its hold on state government is steadily eroding, appears to be attempting to shrink its tent.
Slam Tent line-up for T in the Park
T in the Park, being held at Balado, nr Kinross in Scotland, and now a three day festival happening from Friday 6th to Sunday 8th July has confirmed the line-up for the 12,000 capacity Slam Tent.
The Saturday line-up is now DJ Shadow & Cut Chemist, Dizzee Rascal, Green Velvet, Miss Kittin, Steve Bug, Adam Beyer, Ame, Soundstream/Soundhack (live), and Alloy Mental (live).
Sunday has Wu Tang Clan (live), Dave Clarke, Felix Da Housecat, Tiga, Josh Wink, Slam, Bookshade, Hardfloor (live), and Digitalism (live).

Changing face of Enugu politics
